Dressmaker Fieldnotes is an independent companion to the Steam game developed by Cozy Lives and published by Free Lives. We turn player questions into practical guides, with a commission worksheet and a shelf of player videos.
How the guides are written
Official descriptions explain the game. Developer patch notes support version-specific interface advice. Player reports remain attributed to their authors and linked to the original conversation. We have not purchased or played the game, and we do not describe these guides as hands-on tests.
The planner performs arithmetic on values you enter. It contains no customer-scoring model or hidden catalogue of game prices.
What comes from the community
Our September 2026 research follows public discussions in r/Dressmaker, r/CozyGamers, r/cozygames and r/GirlGamers. We read replies and follow-ups as well as the original question. The guides are our own summaries: a player workaround stays a reported workaround, an unresolved bug stays unresolved, and developer replies are identified separately.
We link to the original authors rather than reproducing their posts or dress screenshots. Conflicting reports are kept visible. We have not tested Steam Deck controls or in-game scoring ourselves.
